Dr. Christopher Shaffer joined Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Associates in 2016. He is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. He earned a B.S. in biology at Saint Joseph’s University with a minor in health care ethics. He earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency as well as his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Shaffer is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. His special interests include caring for people with all types of lung diseases and those who are critically ill. He performs flexible bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, and electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy.
Dr. Shaffer was born and raised in central Pennsylvania. He resides locally with his wife Ashleigh and their three kids.
