Rita joined the PCCMA team in 2016. Prior to obtaining her Nurse Practitioner certification, Rita worked for nearly 17 years as an RN in the hospital setting. Her experience includes caring for patients in the cardiovascular ICU as they recover from open-heart or thoracic surgery as well as medical-surgical.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University followed by her Master of Science in Nursing from Widener University in 2015. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and holds a certification in Critical Care Nursing.
Rita is eager to enter the field of pulmonary medicine. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Her special interests include archery, travel and reading.
